Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By using this System, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to any of these terms, please do not use the System. The System is operated by Buddha Jewel Monastery ("the Monastery") for the purpose of managing meditation course registrations and related bookings.
2. Description of Service
The System provides the following services, all completely free of charge:
- Meditation course registration and waitlist management
- Make-up class booking
- Individual and group consultation booking
- Attendance record access
- Course notifications and announcements
The Monastery reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the System at any time without notice.
3. Account Responsibilities
When using the System, you are responsible for:
- Providing accurate, truthful personal information and keeping it up to date.
- Keeping your account password secure and not sharing your account with others.
- All activities that occur under your account.
- Notifying the Monastery immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Provide false information or impersonate another person when registering.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the System or other users' accounts.
- Interfere with or disrupt the normal operation of the System.
- Engage in any commercial solicitation, sales, or financial transactions within the monastery community.
- Use the System for any unlawful purpose or in a way that damages the reputation of the Monastery.
5. Course Participation Guidelines
By registering for a course, you agree to the following guidelines:
- Participants should be in good physical and mental health.
- Dress modestly: long sleeves, long pants, and socks are required in the meditation hall.
- All courses are free; voluntary donations are welcome, but commercial transactions of any kind are strictly prohibited.
- If you must miss a session, please notify the Monastery in advance and complete any required make-up sessions.
6. Monastery's Rights
The Monastery reserves the right to cancel any user's registration, suspend accounts, or refuse service without prior notice, particularly in cases of violation of these Terms or the Course Participation Guidelines.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The System is provided "as is" without any express or implied warranties. The Monastery does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the System, and is not liable for any losses arising from your use of the System.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Monastery and its personnel shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the System.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, USA. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in Washington State.
10. Changes to Terms
The Monastery reserves the right to revise these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the System constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
